Peter Kenny is the vice president of APES (the Foreign Press Association in Switzerland and Liechtenstein) and works as freelance correspondent for South Africa’s Independent Newspapers’ group which has some of the country’s top English language tittles. He also works for Vatican Radio, Ecumenical News (a New York-based newspaper covering global religion) and contributes to The Wall Street Journal. He was born in Zambia and was educated in South Africa, During South Africa’s turbulent 1980s he worked for the Agence France-Presse news agency and for Reuters in Namibia. His job took him to Asia in the 1990s. There he headed the United Press International Tokyo bureau before arriving in Geneva to work for the award-winning news agency covering global religion ENInews, which is now defunct. He is an avid amateur photographer, wine tourist and reader (and writer) of (so far unpublished) political thrillers.
